Research Lab: Vibration and Nonlinear Dynamics

Vibration and Nonlinear Dynamics Laboratory has been established that is equipped with various vibration measurements instruments for computing the vibration characteristics of a machine or structures and equipment for vibrating the machine or structures in order to finds its resonance characteristics in various environmental conditions.

Current research thrusts include vibration of mechanical and structural components; nonlinear system identification and reduced order modeling; structural health monitoring and damage detection; strongly nonlinear micro- and nano-resonators; nonlinear vibration energy harvesting; and theoretical studies of dynamical systems and bifurcations in higher dimensional settings
