Turning Vibration into Power

At FlexiDyn Lab, we aim to turn unwanted vibration into useful electrical power. We study vibration in rotating machines, flexible structures, vehicles, and micro-scale systems and develop ways to capture and convert it into energy. Our work focuses on smart materials, particularly piezoelectric materials, along with flexible and nonlinear structures, to improve energy harvesting, vibration control, and system performance.
